Shipping In The USA
Over the years we've learned that US shipping costs can be greatly reduced by several different factors. No, it's not just the size, weight, delivery time, or carrier. The big trick is finding the right combination of options for your individual order.
US customers get to choose from several shipping options with our store calculator. Some choices are not as economical as others. So we have a few tricks below that may save you some money on shipping and get your items delivered for less.
Ship To The Lower 48 States
The shipping calculator on our Shopping Cart page allows you change the carrier and delivery time to find different prices in real time. So you can play with it, but it doesn't work well for all your options. So here's a couple of tips to get your package shipped for less in the lower 48 States:
- Single, Light Weight Items: To save the most money on shipping a single, lightweight item choose UPS Ground.
- Heavy and/or Multi-Items: For heavy, large, or multiple item orders, we suggest UPS Ground. The store calculator works perfectly for multi item orders because UPS adds up all your items, shipped in one box, with a combined shipping weight. UPS also offers lower shipping rates than the United Postal Service (USPS) for heavier items.
Tax Note: Only shipments to a Texas address are subject to Sales Tax.
Ship To Alaska and Hawaii
All Items: To save money on Alaska and Hawaii shipping, we suggest UPS Ground.
Ship APO/FPO
All Items: We only ship APO/FPO Military shipments via UPS Ground.
International Shipping
TXcess Surplus uses Bongo International, a Parcel and Mail Forwarding company, to help our overseas customers save money on shipping rates.
Bongo International provides its customers with their very own US address (not a P.O. Box).
Once you have a US address, you will be able to make purchases at the Bongo International Web site as well as other US based online retailers. Bongo receives your purchases and logs them into their online system where you can consolidate them with other orders.

Note: Do not use the Shipping Estimate calculator on the Shopping Cart page because it does not work correctly for non-US orders. You will get a shipping quote on the Checkout page.

We do not ship to Afghanistan, Africa, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea,
Sudan, or Syria... except through APO/FPO Military addresses.
